From minimal water and energy usage to engineering regenerative and shaping fabrics, each denim piece by DL1961 is designed and crafted to adapt to the body and provide unparalleled fit and comfort.
With this season's launch, the brand has debuted DL Athleisure, which features wear-everywhere essentials including joggers, athletic jackets, and lightweight sweatshirts that are ideal for easy layering. Each piece is lightweight, breathable, and crafted in the brand’s new, advanced technical
fabric that is made with botanic, water-efficient fibers.
On a mission to powerfully represent women of today, DL1961 made a purposeful decision to select
sustainability-minded Irina Shayk as the face of the campaign. Upon working with the model, DL1961’s
Chief Creative Officer, Sarah Ahmed notes, “Irina represents the strong, powerful femininity of the DL
woman. After a challenging year for fashion, working with her was a breath of fresh air and truly made me fall in love with denim again.”
Sustainability Conscious Denim
Since its inception, DL1961 has remained grounded in its sustainability values and its commitment to raising the bar and challenging the denim industry at large despite the ever-changing environment. This year, the brand has joined the Ellen MacArthur Foundation on a mission to eliminate waste and promote a completely circular economy.
Overseeing the entire denim production process from fiber to finished garment, DL1961 prides itself on its leading fabric and sustainability technologies that enable the team to craft its designs.
Using 98% recycled water, "clean dyes", renewable fibers, organic cotton, and replacing harmful
chemicals with laser and ozone technologies, each jean is an example of state-of-the-art denim
production.
